M. Tech PROJECT

Dynamic Simulation of Natural Circulation Boiler                                                                  2004

·         Pulverized coal fired power boiler is considered for simulation.

·        Mathematical model of the boiler describing various complex phenomena like radiation heat transfer, two phase flow pressure drop and heat transfer has been developed.

·         Model used various correlations similar to those used in boiler design.

·         Graphical modeling technique of the SIMULINK is used for model configuration.

·         Simulation predicted the steady and dynamic response of the boiler based on the changes made in inputs, which was validated with actual boiler response.
